On December 5, the People's Government of Guangdong Province and central SOEs held the meeting on cooperative development & the signing ceremony of strategic cooperation framework agreement. Gong Bo, member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy General Manager of CASIC, and Lin Keqing, member of the Standing Committee of CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee and Executive Vice Governor of Guangdong Province signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement at the ceremony under the witness of Li Xi, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Secretary of CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee, Ma Xingrui, Deputy Secretary of CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee and Governor of Guangdong Province, and Yuan Jie, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and President of CASIC. Leaders from relevant departments at the headquarters of CASIC and Shenzhen Aerospace Industry Technology Research Institute attended the meeting.
Li Xi said that in the new stage of development, Guangdong is thoroughly studying and implementing the guiding principles of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech and instructions at the celebration meeting for the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone and during his visit to Guangdong, and fully implementing the deployment requirements proposed by the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee, and will vigorously support the investment and development of central SOEs in Guangdong, comprehensively strengthen all-round cooperation with central SOEs, and support central SOEs to become stronger, do better and grow bigger while boosting Guangdong to lead the country and make new achievements.
Ma Xingrui said that Guangdong will take this strategic cooperation as an opportunity to consolidate the cooperation achievements, improve the cooperation mechanism, strengthen coordination and follow-up services, create favorable conditions for accelerating the implementation and operation of major projects, and strongly support the development of central SOEs in Guangdong.
Yuan Jie said that during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, CASIC will seize the major historical opportunity of the construction of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and Shenzhen Pilot Demonstration Area, give full play to the superiority over aerospace technology resources, focus on the development of digital economy, deepen cooperation with Guangdong Province in infrastructure construction, space industry, scientific and technological innovation and services, public security, information technology, industrial Internet, tax and financial services, cutting-edge technology application and talent support, and cultivate strategic emerging industrial clusters to boost the regional economy.
The signing of this agreement is an important measure to implement the guiding principles of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech and instructions at the celebration meeting for the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone and during his visit to Guangdong. It further expands and deepens the cooperation between CASIC and Guangdong Province on the basis of the strategic cooperation agreement concluded in 2010, and will accelerate the construction of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the high-quality development of Guangdong Province.
